Grade 6 Boys' Soccer Team
After a careful and fair observation by our soccer coach, the Gateway soccer team was chosen. Each member of the team brought their enthusiasm and energy to the soccer team and eagerly did their daily exercises.
On the day of their tournament, the team was ready to have fair and friendly matches with other teams of the league. With high spirits and optimism our team played against other teams. Although we didn’t make it to the next round, we proudly represented Gateway at the tournament. All members of our soccer team also appreciated the hard work and patience of our coaches, Mr. Hames and Mr. Leong as well as the team’s co-operation and good sportsmanship. Way to go boys!!!

Grade 5/6 Boys' and Girls' Cricket Team
On Friday, May, 24th Gateway had a cricket tournement at the Flemingdon Park Field. There were two teams they were both mixed with boys and girls from Grade 5 and 6. (Team 1): Mathusha, Anoja, Thaksha, Keshika, Anees, Wais, Kunal, Salmaan, Zaineb.
(Team 2): Anthony, Ahmed, Sheeza,
The wonderful coaches of these teams were: Ms. Louis, Mr. Frankel and a Grade 5 students' dad.
They played against 4 schools: Clinton P.S, Wilkinson P.S, Grenoble P.S and last but not least Valley Park M.S.
If you are wondering how our cricket team did, well here are the stats: Team 1 won 1 game and lost one game (1-1) and Team 2 won 1 game and lost 1 game (1-1). On a happier note the cricket team made it to the semi-finals! WOO HOO!
Everybody had good sportsmanship, they had a lot fun and most of them learned about how to play cricket.
